BGMB 2025

We just wrapped our summer 2025 program and it was a success! Check out of highlights:

Workshop #1

In our first workshop we covered applying to jobs. Our fantastic speaker, Jenna Discher, spoke about how you can stand out as an applicant, how you can tailor your resume, and how to ace an interview. Students were able to practice interviewing with their mentors to feel confident and prepared! They also had an opportunity to network and connect with business leaders and likeminded students.

Workshop #2

For our second workshop our Founder & Director, Rachel Holmes, took us through an entrepreneurship crash course and an activity where students could think like an entrepreneur! Hall of Fame marketing legend Bozoma Saint John shared her career & entrepreneurship journey with our students, as well as her keys to success. Finally our speaker Amber Berry led a segment on financial literacy.

Workshop #3

We ended our program with a workshop all about finding your career path. Lisha Davidovits led a segment about how you can take your hobbies and passions, and turn it into a career you'll love! Our mentors supported their students with some personalized worktime and we closed off with a career panel featuring Chelsey Susin Kantor, Payje Redmond, and Natsumi Komatani.

Our students were active and engaged throughout the program and we were able to build a community of support and learning. Looking forward to the next program!
