2024 Workshop #2: Personal Success

We had another incredible workshop this weekend! This workshop was all about setting yourself up for success in your personal and professional life.

We started off with a Career Panel featuring Chelsey Susin Kantor, Founder of Brand.Ai and former Marketing Lead at Meta & Google, and mentors Salman Ansari & Roseline Joseph (read about them at bgmb.info/mentors). The students had an opportunity to ask their career questions to our panelists and got some great advice about knowing which path is for you, nurturing your interpersonal skills, and balancing your passions & career.

Next, students practiced goal setting in an exercise with their mentors. We followed this up with a speed networking activity for everyone in our BGMB community.

Finally, we wrapped up our workshop with a financial literacy presentation by Amber Berry of I Am Net Worthy. The students learned a bit about budgeting, choosing the right bank or credit union, and investing.
